We Believe

We follow Jesus, teach from the Bible, and worship God, the Creator and Ruler of the universe. We believe through our relationship with Jesus Christ, we are loved, redeemed, forgiven, transformed and healed.

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, the source of Christian beliefs, and the final authority for living.

We believe in one God, the Creator of the Universe, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the pure definition of love and truth.

We believe that every human being is separated from God by sin, and therefore disconnected from his purpose for our lives.

We believe that Jesus became fully man while fully God, lived a sinless life, and gave himself as a sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross. After three days He rose from the dead, demonstrating His power over sin and death, then ascended to Heaven. He will one day return to reign as King of kings and Lord over all lords.

We believe that salvation, God’s offered redemption for sin, is provided through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. All who, by faith, turn from self-rule to Jesus Christ are forgiven by God and freed from the penalty of sin. No sin is beyond God’s ability or willingness to forgive. Salvation, given by grace, is not attained through self-improvement or good works. Any person who believes that Jesus rose from the dead and confesses that Jesus is Lord of his life, is saved and made a new, spiritual creation.

We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the One who transforms our lives and empowers us with spiritual gifts.

We believe in the power and potential of the local Church. It is through his body, the Church, that God has chosen to demonstrate and disseminate salvation, healing, freedom, and Christ-likeness to the world. It is necessary for all believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer, and the breaking of bread.

We believe that God’s will for every human is to experience a life-transforming relationship that is found only in Christ. All humanity will experience a judgment that will determine the fate of each individual. Our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
