Jeremy is a husband to Rachel. He's Dad to Aisha, Gabriel, and Levi. He is in love with Jesus, and often sleeplessly passionate about seeing lost and lukewarm people from every nation become wrecked by the incredible love of God.
Jeremy grew up adventuring and hunting near his home in a tiny Oregon town. After Bible College he left for El Salvador, where the Spanish language and a love for the nations were permanently imprinted on his heart and mind. Years later he met the love of his life, Rachel. They have served together as pastors as well as missionaries and evangelists in the US, Mexico, India, and Malawi.
If you asked Jeremy to describe his calling in ministry, he'd likely say something about his love for speaking and writing. Then he would share his passion for doing whatever it takes that the nations might turn toward their Father, encountering Him in power and worshiping in Spirit and Truth.
By now you may have noticed that Jessie's Song is inspired by a true story. What you may not know is that the inspiration comes from the story of Jeremy's own mother, Arlene.
Deeply personal and deeply touching, Jessie’s Song is the powerful story of a childhood devastated by secrets and abuse. After years of wrestling with her true identity and running from her past, Jessie Jenkins runs headlong into her answer—a mysterious stranger who knows every detail of her life and offers the only thing she ever wanted—a love that can be trusted to heal and not harm. As Jessie takes the greatest risk of her life, she discovers truth about her past that will change her future forever.
Jessie’s journey is one of hope, healing, and true identity for survivors of abuse and everyone who longs to believe again that they were created for something more. Encounter God’s relentless love as Jessie does, and let it raise you, too, from the ashes of brokenness.
